Garbage disposal

Dear Roommate:

Let me introduce you to the garbage disposal.

The following are things that do NOT happen when you put food in the disposal
(and then subsequently fail to turn it on):


1. The sink does NOT digest the food

2. The food does not go to another dimension to frolic with its long lost friends & relatives.

3. The food does not disappear into a black hole.

This is actually what happens when you put food in the garbage disposal & don't turn it on:

I know this is going to be confusing but 
stick with me...


Here are some fairly simple instructions to follow whilst using this crazy thing:


1. shove food particles in

2. run water

3. turn the garbage disposal switch to "on"

4. wait about 5-10 seconds

5. Turn garbage disposal switch to "off"

THEN shut the water off.
